What is the National Honor Society for Dance Arts?

The CSA chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts is a program of the National Dance Education Organization whose mission is to recognize outstanding artistic merit, leadership, and academic achievement in students studying dance and to foster an appreciation for dance as a true art form.

Center Stage has been approved to offer both a Junior Chapter (grades 6-8) and Secondary Chapter (grades 9-12) in our studio!

Dance students are inducted based on a “point system.” Points are awarded for dance activities such as dance classes, rehearsals, performances, research, workshops, or community service, alongside a GPA of at least 3.5.

Along with recognition for their dance merit and academic success, students who are inducted will receive access to leadership and community outreach opportunities as well as mentorship from the CSA Chapter Sponsors. The NHSDA organization also offers scholarship opportunities to graduating seniors.
