We are excited to present our 11th annual production of The Nutcracker ballet this holiday season! We are thrilled to be able to continue this magical tradition with our community and want everyone to have an amazing experience!

We will continue to update this page with important information as we get closer to the performances. Be sure to watch for your Nutcracker News emails, as well as handouts to stay informed as well. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions!

PRINCIPALS' REHEARSAL SCHEDULE!

We will have 4 performances and 2 separate casts!

The Red Cast will perform in the Saturday Matinee (12/2 @ 2pm) and Sunday Evening (12/3 @ 5pm) shows.
The Green Cast will perform in the Saturday Evening (12/2 @ 7pm) and Sunday Matinee (12/3 @ 1pm) shows.

Dancers in Jr. Ballet 4, Int. Ballet 1-7, Teen Ballet and Adv. Ballet 1 & 2, as well as all Principal and Jr. Principal dancers will be referred to as the Gold Cast and will perform in all 4 shows.
Dancers in Kindergarten Combo Ballet and Jr. Ballet 1 - 3 will be cast in EITHER the Red OR Green cast and perform in 2 shows.

MANDATORY DRESS REHEARSALS (All dancers are required to attend!):

The week of November 27-December 1, 2023 (exact date/time for each cast TBA) at Center Stage and/or Hendricks Hall.

EXTRA REHEARSALS:

Nearly all rehearsals will be during class time, however, to make each dancer look his or her best and understand how the whole show fits together, a few extra rehearsals will be required. Detailed schedules will be sent home once casting is complete.

PRODUCTION FEE:

Due to the cost of producing such a show, each dancer will be required to pay a $60 non-refundable production fee. This fee is used directly to offset the cost of costumes, theatre rental, extra rehearsal time and technical elements of the production. The production fee can be paid in two installments. All payments must be paid in full by October 15. Students enrolled in more than one ballet class who would like to perform in the production with each class, may do so at a rate of $40 per additional class (to cover the cost of costumes).

TICKETS: Information on purchasing tickets will be sent home with students in November.

COSTUME REQUIREMENTS:

Each dancer will be responsible for providing their own required ballet tights (purchased from Center Stage) and class specific ballet shoes. All other costume pieces will be provided by Center Stage.
